Victory Cities??

I like this kind of utopic speeches. Because you realize that someone is trying or at least thinking of creating a better place to live. But, like every other utopia of a perfect city, it looks so unnatural. A big building for 300 000 people? it would maybe work, if te population were all the sme, if everyone had the same prioritites, wishes and life goals. But it is not like that. We, as architect, know well that diversity is the first need in a project or city(at least I think that way). If we had lived in berlin, when there was the wall, we could say now how awfull it was to live in a place where you do not have the freedom to decide your own acts and ways of living. In this utopic cities, the city kind of force you the way you have to live. And that is not the way it works, just look at the past or think about yourself. Would you like to live in a place like that? maybe for holiday, beacause it is interesting.. but living your whole live in those conditions? I dont think so.
Good for trying to safe mankind, but i don't buy it.

i agree with the opinion of Alex.
These kind of buildings could work but not all the people that live in these buildings have the same priorities.
These building have to offer diferent kind of jobs and comercial spaces for the people.
the scale of that is too big!!, the idea of a Victoria city is correct but not to incorporate everything in just one building.
